tv cable

There have been discussions about this in the past. I know I asked this question a while back and got good answers. There's a little cam lock on the cable. All you want is a certain space between the mount (on the throttle side of the cable) and the end of the cable. Seems like it's around 1/4". I'll see if I can dig something up.

Well I've searched and searched and can't find what I think I saw. Somewhere, a year or two ago, someone posted a scan from the FSM about how to do this. I've found recommencations from 1/8" to 1/4" gap at the throttle linkage. I think I would use 1/8" (and in fact I think I have) since I little ligher line pressure can't hurt. And it firmed up the shifts just a little, also. A drill bit works nicely for making the adjustment also. Just insert it in the slot on the end of the cable.
