Turkey Week Bomb-a-thon Near Chicago

Come one come all...

Just thought I'd throw this in a post people might actually recognize.

I'm inviting anybody who wants to come talk Diesels, smoke, Dodges, Bombs, etc. out to Joliet to a sort of Bomb-a-thon...

Wannadiesel is coming out this way for the Holiday and said he'd take pity on me and show me how to do my Governor spring.

So if anybody wants to come out and watch, the door's open...I'll have coffee and donuts, and plenty of seats.

If your interested, let me know and I'll give you directions and let you know when we're gonna' be there.

Hey Dave,

Sent ya' a PM...

Redleg, I'm thinkin' Tuesday or Wednesday of that week...

That should give you plenty of time to go take-out one of the infamous, car-wrecking Bambi-gang...but unfortunatly not enough time to turn it into jerky for us to chew on while Bombing.

Again, anybody in the area for the Holiday is invited to stop-by...have a cup of coffee and some bench racing if nothing else.

Hope some of you guys can make it...

I'm thinkin' Tuesday would be the best day too...

As long as that's OK with Wannadiesel, I guess we can settle on Tuesday.

I have my sons awards program to go to on Tuesday morning, but then we're golden for the rest of the day.

I have my spring sittin' on my desk, and I'm in the process of cleanin' the garage as I speak, so we should be ready to go...

Hey Wanna,

Sounds like a plan...

Greg, Redleg, you heard it here first!

I saw my Bud who bought my old truck at my Carclub meeting Saturday night, and he said he's coming too...just to hang, watch and listen to stories...
He's just recently put a Skyjacker 4in lift and a set of 36 inch Hummer military take-offs on it. He also installed twin 5 inch stacks with flapper's on top...
I tell ya',the old truck's lookin' better and better than when I had it...

Come one come all...don't miss the fun!!

Hi Greg,

I've heard it refered to as the 3000rpm spring and the 3200 rpm spring...

If you look in the posts where I asked which it was, you'll see I was told it can be even a bit more than 3200.
I think it might depend on your level of Bombing...

Part # is 1-464-650-366

I'll PM you and Wanna directions later this week...

Hey Wanna,

Installing the spring was what he told me he wanted to do.

He said his truck was sorta' slow...somethin' gives me the sneakin' suspicion you can help him with that...

Just wonderin' if I should install a fuel pressure gauge while we're under there...and what would I need to make that happen? I mean besides the gauge. Could you grab whatever little hardware it takes and I'll reimburse you when you get here?

Do you have a piston lift pump on your truck?
I should really have one to take advantage of the POD's, spring, etc...and stop my fuel starving problem when I stand in it, right?

How long do ya' think it would it take to install one of those if I have all the parts here...

I'm thinkin' we'll have ham samiches and homemade Split Pea soup for lunch/dinner...if the kids don't eat it all first!

Talk to ya' later,

Vinny
