Arrow turbos

ok now that i finnaly have some extra cash, i am going to try and put on a new turbo, i was thinking maybe 16, but maybe even 12, it is a daily driver, with a good bit of around town, but it will begin to see a lot of interstate driving. what would probably be my best solution, and will all of the htt housings work with there compressor upgrades, because thats probably the next thing to do

Get the 16 cm. With the automatic the 12 cm is not that much better off the line, and your highway mileage will be better with the 16 cm.

Yea, the HTT upgrades will still work. I am putting a HX-35/16NG on my truck and keeping the stock turbo (what number, WH1C?). One day I will put a HTT stage III wheel on the stocker and the 16/NG housing and put it back on my truck and sell the HX-35.

I'd get everything from high tech turbo (htturbo.com) Here's a link to the 16cm housing. I think it's the cheapest price for a new one anywhere.

If you run 75+ a lot you will drop 1-2 mpg. Otherwise it will be the same.

Mileage probably wont change too much. If anything, I'd say it will go up. it gets more air, faster. But fuel mileage is also directly related to your right foot. My mileage usually isnt that great because I can't keep my foot out of it. I like to hear the turbo spool and watch the black smoke roll too much But if you drive it the same then it definately wont suffer... who knows, might get an extra 1-2 mpg

The HTT Stage IV with the 18cm housing is a nice turbo on an auto. However, I love the idle exhaust whistle sound of the 12cm, so I'll be going back to that when I get some other stuff worked out. I also need the 12cm so I can limit boost.

In your case, I'd save the money and go with an HTT compressor upgrade and stick with the 18cm housing. The 16 isn't much of an improvement over the 18 from what I've read (certainly not $150 worth) , and the 12 gets toasty on the top end.

yes, the 16 will help in your case. plus, you can make a nice 12lb doorstop out of the 21

Unless you go with a really tight aftermarket converter like I have, go with the 16. I did a 18.5 to 16 swap and was not impressed, the 21 to 16 swap should make quite a difference though.
