Turbo question

Iv heard that a stock charger on our trucks maxes out at no more than 20-something. as far as i kno mine is stock, but i can hit 30lbs in a hurry. any ideas on whats goin on. is mine stock? somethin done to it? i kno they typically build more boost over time, but...

is there any simple ideas to build more boost on the cheap...?

Mine stock didn't go above 20lbs but with the mods in my sig I am seeing at the most 36lbs with a 1/8" timing bump which I was told will bring your lbs down a little bit. I would say that someone at one time did some mods to your pump. But on the same token I have a non I/C and yours should be a I/C so I am not sure as to the "stock" boost on the I/C.

The turbo on these trucks is non-wastegated, so there isn't really a "limit". The more fuel you give them the more boost they create, until either the headgasket pops or the turbo spins itself to pieces.

However, the stock H1C isn't efficient over about 30psi. HX35's are usually good to about 35psi.

I want to see pictures of the aftermath when it pops.

I have to agree with Gman, when I had the stock H1C on anything over 28lbs and I had EGT issues.
HTT stage IV with a 12wg would see 38lbs, thats what I have the wastegate set at.

It has not poped yet it has been runnin like that for over 2 years. I know it is not efficent. I have a stage 4 now but it can still not handle all my fuel.
