turbo hoses?

I have been searching but must not be using the right words.

Looking over stuff tonight I found a hole in the hose on the passengers side where it connects to the intercooler. bout a 1/2 inch long slit, probably leaking all my boost Probably explains the puff of smoke I get at low rpms.

I am trying to figure out where I can get one of these. Is a parts place any help? Dealership?

I don't have much local except some hardware stores that I might be able to rig something up

That's a boost boot. A heavy truck parts place might be able to help, also PDR has boost boots.

Napa can get turbo hose. Measure the inside diameter. They have to get it by the length, but the guy was willing to cut it and sell me what I needed at my local napa. It should have a part number on it and Cummins can replace it already cut. I think Piers sells an aftermarket, replacement kit.

Did the A/C pressure hose rub a hole into it? I found mine was getting worn out from the A/C hose rubbing on it, so I bent the hose up and away from the intercooler boot.

I told NeedMoPower about it and he was pretty surprised he had overlooked it. Seems like alot of 1st gens have this problem.

Mine had the AC hose rubbing as well. I know some guys with a wrecking yard that gave me some extras, I believe they are about $30 from cummins. You shouldnt use just any hose, lots of hose cannot take the heat that the turbo produces.
Good luck

Local parts store had a Donaldson catalog that had them in it.

2.5" x 5.5 long with the bellow in the middle for $35. Gotta get it ordered.

Mine had a 3/4" long slit in it in the bellow area. Almost loooks like somebody replacing a radiator hose in the past slipped with the knife.

I put some duct tape over it just to make me feel better, though I doubt it is holding much pressure
