Thanks '91 1st Gen. I was thinking that it was probably due to less restriction, but I wasn't quite sure as I'm still learning about diesels. Just curious what is the max boost before the risk of blowing a head gasket become a problem?

 

Depends on which turbo is making the "boost" and how much timing and to a lesser extend your altitude and age of the existing gasket.
