Truck won't start

This morning I started my truck and let it idle for a bit but then it died. Right before it died all the gauges went haywire. The battery is 12.4V and power at the fusable links. The truck won't turn on now but it can still do aux mode. Any insight would be appreciated

I'd start by checking the grounds. Make sure that the main ground wire to the block is good (ie.: remove, clean, coat with anti-seize, replace). Check that the frame and check that the cab are well grounded too.

Goofy gauges are often a sign of cab grounding problems.

I checked the big grounds like you mentioned all are clean bright and tight......i noticed that the gauges would perk up if the key was almost to the on position but if turned any father all went dead again.....i replaced the replaced the ignition switch and nothing new. I have power at one end of the 30 amp breaker and nothing on thee other.... Same with the fusable links...but when key turned forward to on position I have no power on either side..... I'm just getting more confused as I go on....

Sounds like an ignition switch problem. Can you give what legs of the circuit you have power on? Or the feed is bad. You say you have power on one side of a 30A breaker but not on the other? And you have power on one side of the fuseable link but not the other side? Or am I reading what you are writting all wrong?
