bought another truck and i cant get it to start its a 1991 non i/c 5spd 2wd.. put a new batter in it turned it over nothin lil bit of smoke thats it.. so i cracked the injector lines open get fuel out of all of them and still wont start .. it wants to but will not start.. what you think it could be..


tomorrow im gonna take a can of good fuel and try that..
oh the truck has been sitting for about a year...

 

Give it a snort of ether.

 

I'm thinking sour fuel...... dirty injectors?? Something simple like that. Well maybe not so simple....... You getting good flow/pressure through the IP? Probably dirty fuel system.

 

Isn't there a fuel shut off that likes to hang close?? All you have to do is have someone pry it open.

 

well today went to the new truck and tried to get it runnin
gave her a snort of ether and it would only run on the ether so i then got my 5 gal jug of fresh fuel ran a hose to it put a new fuel filter on after a few more hits of ether she start to run a lil rough but after a few seconds she ran just fine so everything is good to go now.. just have to drain the tank...
