Truck stance?
Truck stance?
So I just put new springs on from carrier spring service. Parabolics in the front and I just did the rear. The truck sits about 1" High in the back, is this normal? I was thinking about putting a load in it to squash the back end down.
Two questions...
#1. Where are you measuring the distances to determine where the truck sits high in the rear ?
Don't measure the wheel wells, but measure the body line near the bottom of the truck. This gives you a more accurate comparison.
#2 Do you not like the 1 " rise ? To me, an inch taller in the back end of the truck is simply perfect, and with any cargo placed back there, other than a couple of tons of material, it would basically sit dead level.

Next question I have is.. does anyone make a rear shackle? I ended up burning out the bushings from the rear shackle. I also notice that it was really punky and had a lot of scaled rust. I PM Jungle so hopefully he can help me out. Other than that I could probably fab something up.
I sandblasted and painted my rear shackles, they worked fine. Jungle can supply you with bushings for the shackle, they have to be turned down some in a lathe though. The shackle bushing is an odd size.
