truck got backed into : (
well my truck was parked on a side street the other day and an elderly woman backed out of her driveway into the side. needless to say its not looking good. the only saving grace is that she wants to pay out of pocket instead of insurance...... which is good because every body shopped ive talked to said the insurance will probably total it.
so i think i might just replace the whole bed unfortunatly. will an older bed work if i grind off the nubs for the trim??
pics will be coming soon

WAIT!
Nick, What side did she hit?
"tdimark" in walnutsport, PA has about 5 "N.O.S Dodge" drivers side bedsides, mint condition, pretty cheap, but can't remmeber an exact price. Go get one!
Here's one we installed on a previously owned truck

She must have hit you pretty hard.
What was she doing out of her driveway - 20mph ???
When I had my rear tires put on, the boy at the shop didn't allow for the length of the truck - guess he drove one of the 'toy' trucks in the parking area - and he hit the bed about 1 foot in front of the filler door.
The body had a dent about 3/4" deep and from the belt line about 1 foot down.
The shop door wouldn't close after he pulled the truck out it was bent that bad.
I took a scissor jack and a couple of pieces of 3/4" ply and the bed popped back out with just a wrinkle left. Didn't even crack the paint, couple of scratches that go down to to primer but not bare metal...
Body shop told me $450 to pop it out and match the paint...
'Course that was Arkansas about 8 yrs ago

The D&W series had minor styling changes in '85, so any bed from 1985 to 1993 should work (except a dually; the outside panels are different on a dually bed).
I bought a perfect bed on E-Bay a couple of years ago for $243, absent the tail lights and tailgate. Patience was required -- I watched E-Bay for about 8 months before I found a suitable bed being auctioned that was within driving distance so I could trailer it home myself.

I got backed into a few weeks ago too. Luckily it just put a small dent below my tail light and cracked my tail light out. The dent was already there put wasn't as big. The girl that hit me just paid me $100 for a new tail light which is what they cost from dodge and I found em on ebay for $30. So I made $70 off that deal. Luckily my bumper is solid and it put a nice dent in the trunk of her hyundai.
How do I get my hands on one for $200?
