Truck is dying when shifting

I have a dodge d350 1991.5 2wd truck that was converted to a manual getrag sometime before I bought it. When shifting gears sometimes the truck will want to die or will die and the oil light will turn on until you turn the truck back on and then will go away and also when sitting there with it out of gear when i give it some gas to rev it up it acts like it wants to die also. I need suggestions on what to do, to see why it could be doing this, anything will help.

Thank you

A couple things to check
Bad connection to the FSS, bad fusible link, Bad connection in the harness that goes to the transmission on the firewall to the right of the engine. Bad clutch switch or jumper wire to delete the clutch switch.under the dash at the clutch pedal.

That was my thought as well...the getrag conversion most people don't put in a proper clutch/neutral safety switch, or ire it up properly. But the FSS and even a bad fuel filter are the easiest to address.

My first thought was FSS.

Didn't somebody here have a similar problem recently and it turned out to be the transmission harness plug?

If I were to bet I would go with something in the clutch safety circuit.
