two days ago i got a call from my friend that his sister, who lived 2 blocks from the gulf shore was alive and living at an elementary school in gulfport. she was told that she couldn't go inside because she had her dog (that weighs 2lbs) with her. he works for a ministry and had already gotten a few generators, tons of water, and 12 5 gallon gas cans. we threw the cap on my truck and headed out at 6am saturday morning, after a few stops at houses of people we knew along the way we made it into gulfpot at 5:50pm and there is a sign that says "strictly enforced curfew 6pm to 6am." everything in the area was devestated. threw a story to amazing and long to explain here we found her sister and were escorted around the city buy a fireman. diesel fuel was out almost everywhere we went, on the way in we filled up my truck and 3 5 gallon cans. we made it back to my house at 6:15am sunday morning 1106 miles later with only 55 gallons of fuel used! and i was averaging about 80+mph. (2300-2500rpm) 20.1 mpg at 80mph! i'll take that any day of the week. we were able to get my friends sister and leave all the supplies we had collected, it was a long day but well worth it! gotta love the cummins!

and and i saw 3 powerjokes broken down on the way there and one durasmacks on the back... should have done thier research.
