trany rebuild for Getrag

Howdy. Just found this site a couple days ago. My tranny may need some TLC, it groans starting the 4th gear cycle out of 3rd. The previous owner (original) pulled a race trailer so I figure he drove too slow in traffic with his load. Dana 70 rear end but in rain out of the hole passenger wheel spins and the drivers wheel doesn't seem to be engageing. I'm thinking `one wheel wonder`, anyway does anyone have a service rebuild manual with complete instructions for the 5 speed and transfer case also, as to buy one somewhere?

Try your local MOTOR'S dealer. See if the 1993 Domestic Transmission Manual is either still in print or if there is an issue still on the shelf somewhere.

The 1993 Dodge Ram Factory Service manual has a good section on rebuilding the Getrag. It's a good read.

you have an open rear diff , meaning you dont have a limited slip,

send me an email and I will send you a PDF rebuild manual for the getrag johns4whln@hotmail.com

mine is still a bit noisy after the rebuild , thats just the way they are
