Transmission pan magnet MIA

Crap I found the magnet lying around, obviously I forgot to put it back in before I tucked in everything.

How long can I run the tranny without the magnet? I feel lazy to drop the pan again, especially everything is working fine; I just wanna drive it after 2 months of working on the build.

Will it still work and stay in place if you stick it to the bottom of the pan? Maybe set this one aside and try it with another.
