Transmission filter change
I searched transmission filter and didn't see much. Just thought I'd give my $.02 on this very simple job.
If you don't have something like this, It is worth getting. They sell for as little as $2.99 on sale at harbor freight. Just slide the tube all the way down the dipstick hole(just fits) and you'll only have a cup of fluid left in the pan.
Next, remove the 14 1/2" bolts holding the pan on- I left all but 2 diagonal ones 2 turns in so I could easily remove them with one hand(holding the pan in place with the other) once all the others were out. With the pan being all but empty for 10 minutes, there were hardly any drips. Then remove the 3 #25 torx screws from the filter- you may have a couple ounces drop out. Then reverse the process with new filter and gasket(I got mine at advance auto for $5.99). Filter screws get 50in/lbs and pan bolts get 14ft/lbs.

OR, drill a hole in the bottom of the pan, then weld in a pipe coupler, (size of your choice), and install a plug, Then you can change tranny oil just like motor oil. Do a remote filter too and you'd never have to pull the pan at all!

I have used those pumps before and they don't last long but you have the right idea. Last trans fluid change I used a 12v fuel pump from what I believe was a riding mower, that worked very well. I only used that because that hand pump failed on me and I just had the fuel pump sitting on my workbench. One of these days I'll have enough time to weld in a plug as stated earlier.

Orscheln's has 1/2-13 drain plugs, I am going to drill, cut a nut in half height-wise, and tack weld it inside the pan. That will get enough out to keep it from being such a mess.
