Transmission coolers

Anyone use the transmission coolers that bolt on the sides of the Getrag? Putting the old girl back to work with the new fifthwheel we just bought. Some of the places out west where we are going to travel have some pretty steep grades and I was wondering if the coolers did anything to cool the Getrag.

I put those on the rag. They allow for 3 extra quarts and have ports for filling, draining and a temp sender. kind of pricey though...Mark

I run the "Trans Cool" style PTO cooler on some of my 'Rags and NV-4500.
I run another style of cooler on most of my other 'Rags and NV-4500, but that guy stopped making them and I just used my last ones on my latest 2wd to 4x4 auto to manual '93 project.
Geno's Garage lists two options in their catalog for them.

The extra cooling and extra fluid make them worth installing for me on my trucks.

Greetings, I discovered this site through a forum post about saving storage space. Someone casually mentioned it, so I followed along. During my test, the wav compressor felt simple and calm to use. What caught my attention was the clear layout. The audio still played fine afterward, and I was content knowing I didn’t lose much quality.
