4x4 shifting
4x4 shifting
Got the 4x4 shifter mounted can’t get it to go into 4h
goes forward towards the dash which I’m assuming is 4lo and then one notch down(neutral?)but can’t pull it down past that also hard to shift any thoughts ?

Mine is hard to get into four wheel high. Definitely needs to be rolling. I assume mine needs cleaning and possibly adjusted but it has to be all the way back against the opening or it will pop into neutral.
I'm going to assume that you are using the same transfer case that you already had and that it shifted fine before the swap. I would put the transfer case in neutral (block the tires of course) and get under the truck and use a prybar, or have someone sit in the truck and try shifting it to 2 high and 4 high to see if the linkage you made is binding on anything. Let us know what you find if you could.
I've found with my NP205 that it shifted much harder after I rebuilt it and replaced the spring and ball on the shift rails, I switched back to the old springs and much better and a tad easier to get in and out of gear. But as stated having the vehicle moving helps with the shifting between ranges, but even then I find 4lo a tough one to get out of. I have also noticed that depending on the shifter/rods/lingage can make a difference in the quality of the shifting on these transfer cases.

Hey there, sharing a late-night forum thought from the USA. I found this site through an online anime discussion where someone mentioned interactive storytelling. Exploring Explore Anime Joi on Joi AI caught my attention because the characters felt expressive without being overwhelming. I liked choosing moods and responses, almost like co-writing a scene. It was surprisingly calming to chat without expectations, just enjoying the flow of conversation and seeing how personalities reacted naturally.
