Transfer Case

Hey ya'll. I was wondering, Where is the fill plug for the transfer case? I see 2 plugs on the back of the case on the bottom but these kinda look like drain plugs, Or is one the fill plug and the other the drain plug? Also, What weight of oil goes in there? And one last thing, What is the difference between a Chevy 205 and a Dodge 205 other than one is in a Chevy and the other in a Dodge? Someone gave me a complete Chevy 205 and I was comparing it to the Dodge's and they look the same except for some small details, Just wondering? Mike

The filler plug is the higher plug on the back off the case. I assume that 80W90 gear lube is the best for the 205, but there might be a suitable sythetic that can reduce friction slightly. I think that the Chevy 205 is probably the same thing internally, but has a different input shaft. The Dodge 205 behind an auto has a 23 spline IP shaft and the manual version is a 29 spline. I think that GM outfits also have a variety of different versions of the 205.
