Trans temp sensor question

Yesterday I got my new isspro trans temp gauge. I have been reading about where to install the temp sensor and I have a question. I want to put the sensor where the od cut out switch is but I would like to keep the cut out switch also. Is there any reason not to put a tee in line so I can have the temp sensor and the od cut out sensor? I know it will keep the sensor out of the flow of the direct flow of oil but will it really make that much difference?

I've seen a photo here of someone putting the Tee in. From what I've read the kick out doesn't happen until 280 degrees. At that point, you're toasted anyways. But I like the idea of the Tee just for the fact that it's a stronger support for the sensor and (more importantly) it's wires that the zip ties and electrical tape holding mine.
