I need to find a speedometer gear for my getrag its a 30tooth plastic gear. Does any body know where I can get one of those gears? thank joey

My dealer says they do not carry those parts anymore....

 

Kind of a shot in the dark here, but fwiw: I changed the plastic speedo gear on my '02 Jeep TJ a while back and if I understood the bigger picture correctly, my '02 uses the same sending setup as the '02 and prior Dodge trucks. If they are indeed the same, you could order the gear you need from www.quadratec.com which is a Jeep exclusive company.

My '02 uses a 'short' shaft gear vs. the 'long' shaft in the '03 and later.

 

There is a place in Las Vegas. I think it is called driveline specialists. They have everything. Great prices. I got to them by doing a search on ebay for getrag. They have rebuild kits there cheap. From there I found their web page.

Do you need the gear that plugs into the side of the tailhousing, or the gear that is on the output shaft, inside the tranny?

 

the gear that is in the tranny and I also need to know what color of wires are going to the speedo sensor.
