I was told the tranny was original when I bought my truck. Almosrt 240,000 on the 3-speed before I had my brother put in a 47rh for me. The 3-speed still worked fine.

250,000 on the clock with a really sloppy torque converter!

I have 235000 on mine. No shift kit, turned up line pressure, double deep pan, owned since new. I have had POD's, turned up pump, and a very heavy right foot for well over 100,000 of those miles. Only major mod trans-wise is a TCI convertor. Still shifts like new!

216,000 with POD's, tuned pump, timed, and the only thing done to it was replacing the valve body. Boy do I wish I had a lock up clutch in my converter.....

236,600 with the only problem being a leaky cooler. But that was a 10 min swap.

Other than that no so much as one leak.

Tranny Life.

Mine is at 140,000. The TC is a little sloppy but I service the tranny regulary and watch the temp gauge.

If you don't abuse them, they will last along time.

Uh-oh, sounds like mine is about ready to go then... Guess i'll just have to swap a beefed-up 47RH in.

I had 230,000 on one before I swapped it for a 47RH which is going out today for a rebuild. The old worked good till the day I pulled it out. Whined in O/D at 65 mph.

My other one has 185,000 on it now.
