Not gonna happen in a 6000lb non lockup 600hp/1200ftlb+ 518 auto truck. You got two choices. One will be EXPENSIVE, one will be cheap. High dollar build will be a 47rh. Cheap and proven will be a shifter. Getrag.

I switched. Found a donor truck with every part I needed and got everything for the swap for $600. I bought new hyrdraulics and new clutch on top of that. $300 for hydraulics from dodge and then clutch of choice. I priced a built 47rh.....Billet everything from BD I believe was well over $6.5k.

I built the 47RH in my truck and I have right around $3k in parts in it. Billet input, 3 disc converter, valvebody, plus all the little fancy small parts I put in. And don't cut corners either, you'll probably change converters a couple of times to get one that works well with your turbos.

They summed it up right there. If you want to go further, you'll have to make a choice.

thanks guys
both sound great but finding the parts up here will kill me even roted out trucks with 600000kms go for 2500 bucks, then a converter or dual disk
no matter witch way i cut it im going to spend 3000gs +, thats why i want to biuld my tranny, unless sombody has a tranny for sale that isnt to far out of the way then????,

like i might be making some big hp but its just a toy truck and i problay wont ever pull a sled with it, will a good torque converter and shift kit, work as long as im not always on it
