tps question
I'd really go for dropping the pan, replacing the filter and some new fluid. That fixed it on mine.
The solenoid is coil pack so you can test it for continuity. Should read 0 or close to it. It's hard to get to those 2 pins in the connector though. Might want to check it in the harness.
Here's the 91.5 wiring diagram. Not sure the differences in the 93 wiring.
Another thing is to adjust the kickdown lever. At idle you should have about 3/16-1/4 gap between it and the rod it rides on.

I found two grounds loos..There is one on the fire wall kind of being the motor..It was loose..and the ground that come off the battery to the body that also has two groind wires to it was dirty..I cleaned and tighened both grounds and my problem went away..Your problem almost sounds like you need a trans service..fluid and filter change..
