TPS delete arrived today
My TPS delete arrived today from DNR. It looks nicely done. Before I install it I want to drive Max in order to see if I fixed the OD by re-wiring high temp sensor that had a broken wire.
If it rains tomorrow, I am going to trailer my "new" 1979 VW diesel Dasher wagon (52-K on the clock) to my Aunts' garage for the winter. This would be a good 1-hour drive and a great chance to see if the OD works. If it does work, I think I will still install the TPS delete next week or so after I go buy the 93 dually dump/plow 5-speed.
Now, where to put the potentiormeter without ripping apart the dash...........Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
It has been mild to chilly here without any snow (30's in the morning to mid 40's in the afternoon), so I have been hunting "Bullwinkle" that I spotted several times in the last three weeks. He is a huge 8-point buck that would be in good company with the others I have on my walls and in my freezer. I put him at about 160 to 170 class and a good 250 to 260 lbs. He's a biggin!
I had 8-doe under me tonight when a broken legged 6-point buck came in. He was missing the oppisite side rack of the broken leg. Most likely it was blunt force trauma from a vehicle (hopefully not a 1st Gen.) I could only shoot my bow from the sitting position because the ladies would have busted me for sure when I would try to stand up in my tree stand. I could have spit on them all and hit them.....they were right under and around me. Good grief!
Long story short, I could not get off a mercy arrow at the buck (I doubt he will make it through the winter....poor little fella.)
Well that's it for now.
I'll let you know what tommorow brings.

DNR Customs out of MI makes the prefabricated TPS kit for $40.00. (989) 280-9384
And yes, we have plenty of suburbanite ungulates that get nice and beefy (or should I say venison-y) eh?
