tire sizes for stock 2wd

I currently have 235/85/16 on my stock D250 w/front end leveled. I read a thread recommending 265/75/16's. It looks like I can get a better deal on the 265s and it wouldn't bother me to have a slightly wider tire. Anybody want to add suggestions or shed some wisdom on the size comparison?

What other sizes would you need or want? You can't go entirely too much taller with the 2wd, you can't really go wider with out wider rims, but you can go skinnier, and you can go bias ply. Those are the only other options. Cooper makes an 8r16 tire, load range D albeit. Tall and skinny... Similar to 235/85r16. You can also try a taller tire like 255/85R16. but that would rub on the front, how hight is your suspension up there if you say it is leveled?

265/75R16 , very large selection of tire brands and models in this size. Themax load rating at 80 psi for a load range E of this size surpasses most steel wheels.

I run 245/75-16 and i love them i wish that i would have gotten 265/75-16s but i picked up the whole set with more than 60% tread load range E and the dates on all 4 tires read that they were between 11-15 mounths old so there is no dry rot, picked all 4 up for $130 and got them installed for $30 so i could not pass that deal up so thats why i run the 245's but if your buying them new i would deffinatly go with 265's
