1991 D-250 Tire Sizes

Am about to put new tires on my recently acquired 1991 D-250 and realize the standard tires are 235/85-16 with a E Load range and usually 80psi max.

Am wondering what other size tires you folks have used out there; I believe 245/75-16's would wourk fine, but would like to get good load range of at least 2750 per tire.

Also any input recommended brands or Walmart tire options would be welcome.

Thanks,

Mike

It seems all the good 10 ply16s are rated at least 3200 or more each but check. I got 4 BFG commercial radials for a little over $400. they seem pretty good, but as a general statement I have had problems balincing BFGs and keeping them there. The Michelins that were on it before were much nicer riding even when worn down. When its all said and done the xtra $100 or so for good rubber is well worth it!!!!!.
