Time to pick a new Turbo

Guys,
I called Steve out @ Mid West Transmission about building a 518 for me & he said what turbo am I running? I said why does that matter & he said to pick the converter you need to know the turbo to get the stall correct so it will spool up.

So I was thinking a S300 60/71/16 plat shaft.

I have so far;
PDI 3Pc Exhaust
Denny T 2
1/2" fuel lines
Fass first gen feed pump
Low pressure lift pump.
3200 spring
366 spring DDP 55 LPM sticks 80HP

I still have the stock valves
Stock head & gasket,head bolts.

I am thinking about head studs, valve springs & O ringing the head.

What is your recommendation for a good turbo for my setup?
Who is the best to call?
Where is the best place to order from?

PS;
here is Tex;

I can't recommend a turbo but I can recommend studs for the head. I hit 44 pounds boost one time and stretched the stock bolts enough to allow coolant to leak out at number one cylinder near the thermostat housing. I am running a HTT Stage IV H1C with a 16 square centimeter exhaust housing with DDP Stage III 150 hp over stock injectors and a little water meth. Sixty pound valve springs are a good idea too. My EGT's are thru the roof. My EGT gauge quit last week so I am baby peddling the truck right now. Not a lot of fun but the fuel costs are down a little.

I think its more about whether its a quick or slow spooling turbo.

Its tough to beat the price/performance of a used WH1C, HX35, or HE351CW (all quick spooling).

I run the HX35 plus some fuel mods on an otherwise stock engine.

I run a Wh1c with a boost controller. My VE is set to stock but it's easy to hit 30ps1 in third gear. When I first put it on my EGT's dropped 200 degrees.

S362SXE (62/68/12) if you are shooting for 400 to 450 HP.

HE351CW for 300 to 350 HP.

WH1C or HX35 for 250 to 300 HP.

All three will light quick.

60/71/16 would be absolutely terrible.

The 400/450 would be nice & do you think that is doable with my mods?
thanks,

Not sure what "80 hp" injecotrs are, but yes, 400 is very doable. 450 takes some tuning, but it is achievable.

Probably want head studs as well.

After doing my conversion, I'm a big fan of the 47RH. You being in a more civilize part of the country should be able to find one easily, or the parts to convert yours.

The 518 will work well but you'll probably need bigger injectors and a decent amount of timing to hit 400rwhp. You could also use w/m..
