Throttle shaft sockets?

Well when i was tryin to get my truck to run the other day and it wouldn't idle to load it on a trailer (other thread) I was holding the throttle lever open enough to keep it running and told my buddy to loosen the jam nut on the throttle shaft and screw the socket end in then it would pull my idle up and would run without givin it throttle. Well I knew that the socket piece was cracked and he went to loosen the jam nut and the whole thing cracked and broke. So no I need 2 new sockets that screw on the throttle shaft that hook on the pump and to the throttle linkage like a ball and socket. They were plenty loose anyways. Where do i get these? I know one is reverse thread so can i get them in a pair or what? thanks

I was able to get metal ones to replace the plastic crap from the dealer for something around 50 bucks for the kit. I'll look and see if I still have the package with the part # on it. I saved the plastic ones in it.

I got these from Carquest

I had to grind the end down a little to clear the bellcrank where the throttle cable ties in.

Mopar 05011955AB Cummins 4089076. That is the kit, new rod, new metal ends, nuts, and ball end for throttle lever, up to around ~$40 now from Cummins. If you try to purchase only the ends with the part numbers from the above post, they supercede to this kit only. This is an upgrade every 1st gen owner should purchase.

I found my bag; bgilbert beat me to it. The bag had both the cummins and the mopar part # on it. It was indeed a complete kit. I'm pretty sure I paid $42. for it. That was at the dealer. I don't have a cummins shop near me.

yikes sounds a little more pricey than I thought it would be, especially for that little thing. I'll call a few places and check around.

$40 really isn't that bad for the kit. Especially having the metal ends.

My truck already had the metal ends on it when I got it, but even they wear out. The actual metal ends don't but the rubber or plastic that's inside them does. Mine come off pretty easily, I wish they were cheaper.

Some times the job just calls for purchasing the right part regardless of price. Substituting just opens yourself to problems down the road.....Just Sayin!!

Yup, all the guys at work harrassed me for spending so much on something i could have made up with stuff from work but i like it to look nice/compact and original.

Had to previous owner not taken such good care of it i might be inclined to go a different direction though.
