and also that tranny shift sounded nice, no way thats a factory slippy converter.
that thing hauled when you smoked out that intersection.
Exhaust if the factory downpipe and wiggle pipe past the transfer. Then it has a custom 4" over tha axle and out the right with no muffler. I love the sound.
I never looked inside the tranny. In fact, I never even pulled it off the engine when I pulled it from the chassis I bought for a donor. This whole truck was plug-n-play. It does shift nice. The OD is on a toggle. On when I want, off when I don't.
This little truck is pretty quick. Someday I will get it to a track. I do not know how accurate my speedo is, but it was bouncing around 80 on the first straight.

It was funny. When I put a pryo in my 89 last year. ( first gauges I ever had in a truck ) I could not keep from turning the fuel screw in at the same time. I figured since I had the gauges I could put some power in the ole girl. I took it for a ride and the pryo got 1400 plus. I almost had a stroke. I was all scared and thought I hurt the truck. Now I don't even really look at the pryo on either truck. I pretty much know I can floor it till I get up to speed. I know its way hot but it is for less then 10 seconds. I do pull a trailer once and a while with the 93 so I watch the gauge like a hawk then.
I am sure the engine is not happy at those temps but O well. There just toys.

that and im a worried wort.
If they were my only transport I would have them stock. I had another 89 I used to plow and sand with. I kept that one stock so it would last. Also If I had to use it for towing lots it would be stock also. I have a 1 ton chevy for plowing now and also a 1/2 er for daily driving. The 93 is the family wagon and the 89 is for me and the boy to cruise in.
