Is there anything Wannadiesel doesnt know?

I know Faith always answers darn near every post here and I just wanted to say thanks.

She has been a great asset to these boards and I was kinda curious what, if anything, she wonders about that she doesnt know about our beloved trucks?

Faith ?

Maybe this thread should be renamed the 'Faith/Wannadiesel appreciation thread.' There can only be one or two folks who frequent this site, if that, who haven't been helped by her in some way.

I too want to thank Wanna, and many others here on the DTR, who have helped bolster my confidence to tackle, and defeat, all the problems I've had getting my truck on the road.

She has helped me also on many different occasions with many different problems. She is a great irreplaceable asset to DTR. I have often wondered if she has memorized the fsm. I don't think there is much that she dosent know. So many times I have posted questions about other trucks in other sections and gotten little or no response. That dosent happen in the first gen section we are very blessed. I have learned most of what I know about these trucks here. Some from faith and some from others who are passing on info that they have learned from faith. Thanks for making this place great faith!!!

Wanna, can you please explain to us the meaning of life and how the first gen relates to it? I want to know because if you know that, then maybe you know how to fix our freaking brakes....Thank you very much...Mark

Many thanks to Faith for all the help and knowledge she's provided!! I, undoubtedly, wouldn't have been able to replace the head gasket in my beast last year had I not discovered DTR and had relentless help from Faith and others. And I'm sure the "others" who helped could have only learned from the best... Faith!

I'm a rookie

Dear git-r-done,
this is the first time I've done a forum and don't know the difference between a post and a thread.

I need some help awful bad and am not sure how to get it so I thought I'd try to get some input from those folks who live and breath dodge.I am totally mechanically challenged and I have an old Dodge that I love and just can't let go of. Here's my problem:

1991 2500 Dodge 4X4, Standard 5 speed transmission. Transmission bit the dust. Heard there was a problem with these transmissions and don't want to put the same kind back in my beasty boy. I either need to know how to fix the problem or find a different sort of transmission to put in but can't find a shop or anyone else who can tell me what I should be looking for.

Please can you help? or tell me who to ask?

You just made a post and this compilation of posts( Is there anything..) is a thread. As for your transmission problem, pretty much anything can be swapped with enough labor, money, know-how. But it seems to me the NV4500 is a somewhat common replacement for the 5 speed you have now. What exactly is the problem you are having? It may be a simple fix.
