That's done-almost

Put my headlights on relays this evening. Need to swap in the new headlight switch. I was surprised NAPA had both in stock, and only $2 different. Got the better one.

Now I need to figure out why my high beam indicator is dead. I hope that extra red wire in the left headlight switch doesn't run clear back into the cab for it.

Might take the headlight switch back. Found a kink where the insulation was cut in the high beam wire. Might explain why I had low beams all night but high beams would kick things out.

Just as you're thinking, there is an extra red wire on the driver side headlight socket that triggers the high beam indicator in the dash.

I tried hooking it to my battery positive but it didn't light. Might have to check the bulb as well. Makes a ton of sense, the high beam indicator runs a heavier wire than the low beam does!

The supply to the left headlight was cut and rubbing on the bottom of the battery box. Likely why my lights were cutting out.

I tied the original ground to the battery from the left headlight, ran new grounds for each light, and ran a fuse for high beam and another for low beam. Not the neatest, but it should do, at least for now. And put the wires to the right side in a split loom.

Have a 15 amp for low beam and 20 for high, think that should be enough.
