TC question

alright i just back from towing about 13,300lbs all together, and i noticed going down the road doing about 60mph the RPMs where about 2000, when they should be 1600 , so i bumped it out of OD and they just went up just a tad more. is this way too much slippage in my TC. even normal driving i can get it to go anywhere from 1000 - 2100 just by my foot. and when i started it the other day for the first time in a week it idled at about 600 in D, and i drove it a bit and when i parked again it went to about 800-850. is this pointing to a TC rebuild?

converter time

These trucks need a tighter converter from the get go. You probably hit 1500 RPM just to get the trailer moving. Since you tow put in a trans. temp. guage and it will scare you. Mine used to peg the guage at 250* on even the slightest grade. Also put in the biggest trans.cooler you can find. Mine is a fan unit from Flex-A-Lite from Summit Racing.
