Tail gate

Jus makin sure but i bought a tailgate off of a 1984 dodge truck was fixin to get it on my 90. I got the original tailgate for my 90 but its bend into a v shape....but anyway the two tailgates seem diff...any suggestions?

different how they will interchange yes 1 might be a LE gate the other is just a Reg 1

I don't think the body style of the 1st gen started until '85. I could be wrong but I've seen trucks as far back as '85 that have the same body lines.

ya i got it to fit on my 90.. its a 84 tail gate.. lol still needa to get the latches fixed.. i need a pliers to pull the rod for the right hinge, and i flip a little button deal on the left hitch and thats how i open my tail gate atm lol

Ahhh having to flip that little nubbing...while lifting repeatedly on the tailgate latch. I had to do that for years...until I got off my duff and fixed it. Took maybe 30 minutes to pull the latch, clean, relube and fix the bent rod going from the tailgate handle to that latch. Worked perfect after that.
