Question tach. question

My truck came with a BANKS tach. and worked fine until about a month ago. It has a balancer mounted sensor and I have been trying to figure this out but have had no luck. I have adjusted the sensor closer, further with no results. It has the magnets still intact and all the wires to the tach. seem to be fine. The needle seems to move just a little bit. So do I get a new sensor or tach. or both?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Joe

It sounds like you need a new sender, or maybe some magnets. It seems the Banks gauges are repackaged ISSPROs. IF that be the case, you have a sensor on the h-balancer, and two magnets, 180deg apart, on the balancer to give it the signal.

Double check your connections. Butt connectors WILL eventually corrode.

Thanks for the input 92,
I will look at the connections or maybe just redo them.
