Switchin from single wheel to dual wheel

Is it just as simple as taking off fenders and putting on single wheels and tire?

Not really. The bedsides are cut out higher and the axle is wider.

do you need a dually? a w350 single is kinda unique.

The title of the thread made me think he had a SRW and wanted to switch to DRW, but the way he worded hod post gives me the impression he already has duals, and wants to convert to SRW, hence taking the fenders off. I don't know...

Billut- yes there is a difference. The dished wheels have to bolt on far enough out to make a track the same place the zero offset SRW wheels make their track.

On D350's, on the front there's a hub adapter bolted to the rotor. If that is removed, wheel studs can be installed and you can run standard wheels.

On a 4x4 you need to get SRW hubs/rotors. I got new GM ones for like $150 a side. They are a direct swap, as long as you have the internal lock-outs.

Gee. That's funny, my 91.5 D350 hubs were full drop...the hub had NO adapter to fit FDC wheels. The hubs just had a flange to the inboard end to which the rotors bolted.
