Switch on driver side?

There is a switch? on the driver side. When I turn the engine over it makes a clicking noise. Anyone know what this is called? Looks silver is is bolted into the side.

You can see the switch in this photo from the master cylinder to the right a little.

It's a Starter relay.

Thank you! Hopefully this fixes my truck.. it keeps clicking but the truck wont start. If I keep turning the switch on and off it finally goes.

Sounds like it's not keep the circuit closed. Probably time for a replacement.

Sometimes it's the ignition switch too, but if you hear that relay making noise with not engagement of the starter solenoid... then the relay is most likely the culprit.

Best is to replace the Dodge relay with a BIG Ford relay/solenoid.

Anyone have a part number or link to the part? I checked rockauto and they have a 3, 4 and 5 terminal connector. I might have to take it apart, I think they doubled up on some wires.
