Suspension Lift Question
Suspension Lift Question
I am having the front springs arched 2 inches and adding a leaf to level the truck out some and was wondering if I would need to get a drop down pittman arm, or a different drag link for the steering or if I could keep the old one on the truck?
How long would I expect the springs to keep their new arch?
Thanks!

So, you're plan is about 3-4" above stock just in the front correct?? If so, then you need to get the drop pitman arm for sure.. As far as the new springs holding the rearching, that mainly depends on the shape of your leafs.. It should last at least a yr or so, probably more.. But you just never know..
Well, when you get it together, Check the angle of the drag link.. If it is running on a nice little incline to the pitman arm. Then yes I would ge the pitman arm.. IT isn't a big deal, just depends on of you like driving with one hand or two hands on the wheel!!
Thanks DNR, I am changing out the old steering box, and mounting plate due to some cracked parts. but i just finished putting the new leaves on, and intend to install the new gear box tomorrow. Anybody need some parts?
Thanks!
