Question Steering Shaft Seal ???

I just received my order of four steering input shaft seals, GATES part # 351320, three for the three dripping Dodge trucks, and one to mess up with.

Each bag contains one seal, one internal snap-ring, one plasticy washer-looking device, and an O-ring of about two-inch diameter.

I have read and re-read the sticky on this, but, alas, no pictures.

I assume the plastic washer thingie is the dust-shield; right ??

There is no mention in the sticky, that I see, of the O-ring.

Where does the O-ring go ??

Also, it mentions a grease that is put between the seal and dust-shield.

I didn't get any grease; what should I use ??

Thanks.

I just got my locking nut off last night, however, the adjusting plug came out with it.. Although i counted my turns coming out i dont feel good about having the same adjustment going back in. Appears the locking nut & plug are frozen together, if i separate them my adjment may be further out...I used penetrating fluid but finally got to the point to accept it coming out together.
