I checked the steering shaft on my truck, because like most people my steering is loose. I read the sticky about changing out the shaft but should the spline/shaft connection point on my steering gear/box be loose? I can turn it quite a bit. The connection from the shaft to the spline seems fine, maybe
1/8" of play, but the spline that dissappears into the box moves quite a bit. And is it just me or does the shaft seem thin? I feel like it should be thicker.
