have you thought about installing a set of pods. If the 93 and 92 use the same injectors, I've get a set of Bosch "updrade" injectors that I can send you to try, they didn't add as much as the pods, but where a big step up from the stock injectors. With the Bosch ones, I had the fuel screw all the way in, and smoke screw back out a few turns, with the pods, I have the fuel screw backed out alot more and the smoke screw backed ALL the way out. With the 18cm housing, mine smoked like a coal train, but the 16cm helped it, but I can still lay down a cloud at low speed and nail it, it's really usefull when a ricer is beside me thumping , and the 4" exhaust makes a BIG roar when you stomp it.

As for the different pump personalities, it's true. There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason for it, but it is a fact.
There are one or two things that I "think" I've found for this but I need some more pumps to autopsy first......keep diggin guys.

The subs only play the good stuff. like Hank Sr., & Jr, and good ole country. I took all the thump out of the amp, and now it's just LOAD as all heck. She's driving a 2004 Camry Solara, with the 6 speaker, 6 cd changer, it rocks pretty good. The best way to cure the ricers is put in some Johnny Cash singing John Henry I love to get stopped at the redlights near the projects coming home and CRANK it up, but momma likes to put in some Pink Floyd, crank it up to just about mirror quivering level and ride, and she wonders why I always ask her to repeat what she said
