I read a lot of the mods guys do on their 1st gens. What is accomplished when you turn your "star wheel"? Which direction? Clockwise or counter clockwise...(don't know if it goes in either direction) Should I do it when I do my 3200 spring?

You can turn it either way and it is mainly for tunning.

Read the sticky on the performance section at the end and You'll understand it.

 

down ,clock wise ... i have mine turned down two full turns
