Speedometer Adapter ???
Does anyone know which speedometer adapter ( if any ) is used on a Getrag with 3:54 rears??
I have no idea of the rear-end ratio the one I have is for; but, the drive-pin is broken out of it.
Can these drive pins be replaced; and if so, where can I get one??
Thanks for helping out.

Any speedometer shop can help you out. I had a place on PA build me a new adaptor a couple of years ago for about $50. I found them on the internet, called them and told them what I needed and had it in a week.

If you look on the side of your adapter there should be a ratio # if you have a getrag and 3.54 gear it should be 1.3846 on the adapter side that will be dodge oem part # of 4428549(e) If thats not the ratio # just pm me and I will try to help you out best I can. I paid $110.00 for mine at local dodge dealer. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the ratio and part number.
I didn't know there was such thing as speedometer shops.
Where is a good one??
Maybe they carry the drive pin I need for a few cents.

I replaced just the pin on my 89 waaaay back. They had the pins for about $0.50 and it just took a few minutes to get the elbow adapter apart. You have to use some custom wrenching (very thin) to get the inner retaining nut out of the adapter. After that the pin is just held in with a fine wire spring.
Try looking for a place that outfits taxi cabs etc. The shop I went to in Calgary was called MR. Speedometer.. Pretty easy find...LOL..
