Speedo, and Speedo Sensor failing

Some quick back story.
Last December my speedometer stopped working on a long drive home.
Some sound advice from members of this forum about the speedo sensor backing off was true. Just in case I bought a new one, and installed it.
Like a dumbass I threw away the original.
Earlier this month (July) I killed my leaking water pump when the speedo sensor failed and I drove home in 3rd gear.
(one of the bolts holding the pump on must have been cracked. I was weeping fluid, but driving home at high RPM finished the bolt off, and it busted clean through)
Frustrated that the sensor didn't last long I bought another of the same brand from O'reilly's because they had one in stock.
Today on the way to work my speedo started wagging back and forth, the first sign of the sensor failing.

So my question is:
Is the BWD part a pile o' crap and keeps failing?

Or do I have some other issue that is killing the sensor.
Should I buy an OEM Dodge part? What's that going to cost?
Thanks in advance
