spare tire holder

I think everyone realizes what a pain the factory spare tire holder is to work with, ugh. Well after installing a new hitch, mine would no longer fit.., so I decided to upgrade the whole mess. the first step was to find a suitable replacement. I chose a mid 80's Nissan. It seemed more heavy duty with the chain. I know there are lots of cable options , but I opted for the chain.

2nd step was I notched the existing cross bar to give room to bolt it up, I was able to use one factory hole, just needed to add one more

3rd step was to bolt the tire winch\holder up to cross bar. I also found a donor socket to fit the hole and welded it in (not pictured), to facilitate access for winch handle

next I had to add a little metal to the ends and the tabs, of the bottom rim holder (so it wouldn't pull thru) due to our 16 inch tires vs. 15 inch Nissan tires

next I had to add one hole above license plate to access tire winch. then I proceeded to fab a winch handle, that fits into the welded in donor socket to activate tire winch..... and of course paint handle

Try reformatting your photos so they're "square", vs "rectangle" in shape and size. Keep the sizing under 800 x 800 and you should fix the issue.

I believe the software here rotates photos that are longer than taller. After I stopped posting rectangle shaped photos (by cropping them square), my pictures stopped rotating.
