Son of a oil leak!!
I assume #6 vc gasket was ok? What are the chances a previous owner had an oil psi gauge plumbed that was later removed...or something along those lines that has now sprung a leak? I guess you relly need someone to watch while the truck is started...

Probably if you had a mirror and a bright light atached to one of your buddys you might!
I have seen oil leak for the side of #2 syl with out getting into the antifreeze!
remove the rear valve cover and remove the rocker assemble and look down the oil feed hole in the head, if there is any trash there or in the rocker assembly, you have a blow head gasket!!!!! the trash the you see is the gasket material that was flushed into the rocker assembly when the gasket blue!!!!

I can't think of anything else back there that would leak, but on the head gasket the closest pressurized oil passage is under the #6 rocker pedestal. That's quite a distance for the oil to get to the rear of the head.
Sorry, I thought everyone knew. It was the head gasket leaking oil out the back of the block. It wasn't burning oil or anti-freeze, and wasn't mixing the two either just a large amount of oil being pumped out

Did you put a fire ring, in? Have you got it back to gether yet? Do you now what caused the head gasket failure?
Did you port the head?
I pulled the head almost right away from when I found the leak. I think it was like the next day or two and the head was off but then I got really busy and it sat at our shop for probably atleast a week and a half if not more. I eventually took it in last week to get rebuilt, get heavy valve springs, get o-rings, 3 angle valve grind and to get port/polished. I've gone down a couple times to see the head since I've taken it there. So far they magnafluxed it and found no cracks, they sent it out to get pressure tested, they machined .006" off, they put the o-rings in and they are finishing the port/polish. I was suppose to go down yesterday to see the progress but got tided up working all day putting a rear end back together. He said on friday that he would get most of the porting/polishing done, so most likely I will be getting it this week. Problem is I haven't ordered my Arp head studs, gasket, or valve springs yet. Plus im not sure whats gasket im gonna go with. Marine .010 over or possibly .025 over? What do you guys think? I am definitely gonna get pics of the o-rings when I get it back because I know there are many people that want to see them. Before I went down to see it I had never seen an o-ringed head before. I think that about sums up the unanswered questions plus more.
If you want to know anything else just let me know

I've heard other people say to go with the .025 over and don;t bother with anything else. I don't know what the negitive to lowering my compression that tiny little bit would be
