Son of a oil leak!!
Engine adapter to engine and bell housing to adapter is not a perfect seal by any means. If its the cam plug its dumping oil right onto the flywheel/clutch assembly and spinnng it everywhere. Probably looks like an over full crank case inside there and its pushing an oil haze out every where. Pull the inspection cover on the bell housing and see if every thing is covered with an oil film.
Wouldn't my clutch slip if it was covered in oil? I know its not a perfect seal but that would need to be alot! of oil to splash it all the way up the firewall and cover #5&6 valve covers
With as much oil as that thing is pumping I would buy the cheapest oil I could and top off the crankcase, start it up and hope I don't take a bath in it while looking for the leak. I realize this isn't being enviornmently friendly so I would place a frame work of 2x4's and plastic sheet under the truck to catch the "drips". Let us know what you find.
Well, I reckon I'm the stick in the mud thinking it's the rear Main Lubricating Oil Rifle plug.
From what I see, the oil leaves the cooler and is carried to the main rifle that runs from the front of the block to its rear (I'm thinking it's the rear plug that either blown out, or has sprung a leak minimum). The oil is then distributed through individual drills to each main bearing journal. It's there the journal feeds the piston cooling nozzle, as well as individual drills to the camshaft journals, and the crankshaft drilling for the rod journals.
That same main rifle feeds individual drills to the rocker shafts, etc.

I'd get in there w/ degresser and then with brake cleaner(vaperizes/dryes fast and makes a clean place to start!)
I'd do that before i pulled the tranny,Have seen oil run out of a head that had been over heated?
Best of luck!!!!

$16 bucks on Ebay.

BTW, that plug looks to be almost right under the bellhousing adaptors flange, left of the cylinder center line (as seen from the rear).
Not good either way.
I think the best shot you have is to hose it all clean in the driveway, with some degreaser, blow it dry with brake clean and compressed air (if you have it), then disconnect the shutdown solenoid so it wont' start. Now crank the engine for a few seconds, and see if you can determine the leak.

Dang it! I was hoping It was gonna be easy
Well I cleaned her all up and filled it up with oil. Then I pulled the solenoid wire to see if I could see any leaks without it running first and couldn't find nothing. So I plugged it back in and fired her up, as soon as I jumped out to go look for a leak and the first place I looked was the bellhousing I saw oil running down. So I ran and shut it off and took a look and it was running down both sides of the bellhousing at the top, so it must be in the middle. I pulled the #6 valve cover hoping to be able to see down but still not enough room.
So is there anything other then the head gasket that is above the bellhousing that could be leaking? If not then it must be the headgasket
If it is the head gasket has anyone ever heard of it leaking oil at the back w/o oil mixing with antifreeze or w/o burning oil or any other symptoms of head gasket?
