If you scroll through and watch a couple of the videos that come up after the bobcat video, you'll find a few variants on the hub driven splitter. One of them is flat out scary!
I haven't seen one of those in years... they were marketed under the "Unicorn" brand.
I have only seen the ones that bolt to the hub, not one with rollers like that...
They worked great, were just dangerous and I think that is why they stopped selling them...

Ditto, ... the safety ***** are far too powerful, striking fear in nearly everyone doing even the most mundane things. We don't need legal guns to our heads when deciding what to do. If you're stupid, lazy or inattentive you'll harm yourself getting another beer out of the fridge. Oh and BTW I think that splitter is just excellent, and Ill think of it as I swing my axe wildly at another large log. Now, like KRB I'll get off the box too and let someone else have at it, ....
