Sold it! Now what?

Well, I sold my truck yesterday, just couldn't turn down the offer I got. I'm now a man w/o a truck, and pretty sure I don't like it! We're gonna try the 1 vehicle (SUV) thing for the winter, but I'm keeping my eye open for older crewcabs. Believe it or not, I'd like a '95-97 powerstroke c/c sb, swap in a solid front axle, run it till the motor goes, and then swap in a cummins. What do you think? Can a guy ever be happy w/ a gas job after he's had a few diesels?

A ford F-350 CCSB will have a solid axle front D60.

The F-250's were the ones that had the horrible TTB front.

Good luck finding a CCSB F350 4x4 7.3L

I would just keep looking for someone selling their crew cab swapped cummins truck!!!

There were no factory 80-97 F350 CCSB's, they were F250's only, 96-97 only, 7.3 or 460 only. They are actually quite rare. That said I'd love to find one to put a Cummins in... LOL

You guys are making me miss my old ride. It was a 97 F250HD PSD X-cab, shortbed, 4X4 off road, ZF 5 speed, rigged for towing heavy. That was one cool looking truck, and would have been perfect with my cummins in it!

Come to think of it, its a centurion truck. Green/tan.

so they probably stuck F350 emblems on it. but its definely a CCSB

I will remember that... My first gen is my first and only vehicle, and will be my last.

Young man out of OK flew up last weekend for the 91. Drove it home and said he never got under 80 to 85mph on the way down. Pulled 19.5mpg avg. Young man is happy as ....with it....On the hunt for another one...

goin from my 93 w250 x-cab to my durango was not nice, the 93 had the torque, the turbo whistle, the speed, but the good thing is i am rebuilding it all, so i did not loose the truck.
