Let's see some lifted trucks.
Here is mine. It took some careful trimming ,axle moving, a little lift and a lot of on....off....on.....off...on with the tires, trial and error with backspacing.. but here it is.
40x13.5x18's on 18x12 Rims with a 2 yes a 2" lift and cutouts.
Yes it turns full lock to lock and will even turn while going over bumps WITHOUT HITTING.
What do ya think?
I will try to get better pics tomorrow.

my old 92-4in Skyjacker, 285-75-17's, needed bigger tires.....
Here is my 85 Crew Cab with 92 Cummins drivetrain. It has 4" custom Deaver leafs up front along with "Jungle" 2" drop hangers on the front. The rear has a shackle flip with stock GM 63" 1 ton springs. Rides on 38x15.50R20 Toyo MTs on 20x12 Fuel Octane wheels. Rubs on the front corners, intend to take care of that when I get the paint and body work done, which is next after the tranny gets a rebuild.

OK, so riddle me this lift men. Why is my truck different? I suddenly started breaking the double cardan (CV) joints. This is what I found,
I installed coil over overload shocks on the front that had 2 1/2" more travel than the stock ones.

With the drive shaft hanging at its max angle and the front end hanging from the overload shocks, this is the alignment with the yoke

Now this is with the oem length shocks

So, how do you get away with lifts if as little as 2 1/2" increase in travel without any lift was breaking my drive shaft?

Does anyone know what spline the front output is on the dodge 205? I know when I put a chevy 205 in my CJ it was 30 spline with the crappy chevy saginaw CV. I swapped the front output to a ford unit so I could use a spicer 1310 CV which will flex a lot more with out binding. The ford front and rear out put on the 205 is 32 spline, the chevies are 30 front or 10 front in a early 70s t-case and 32 spline rear.
