Snap On Injection Pump Wrench

Do you guys reccomend I buy the Snap On injection pump wrench? It is $33 and I don't mind spending it, but do you guys think I need it? I do want to bump my timing, but do you absolutley have to have the "S" wrench?

Thanks,
Parker

Well, I do plan on bumping my timing pretty soon, so I suppose one will be on it's way shortly.

Once you get on that lower bolt with that wrench its easy, finding the bolt can be a pain as its kind of tight.

x2, i got mine off ebay for 10 buck and is the entire set. i can't see spending 35 bucks for one bolt/wrench.

but yes, it is nearly impossible to get to that bolt without it.

The Snap-On wrench works like it's made for the job (whod'a thunk it?) but there are cheaper options. I'm using a Harbor Freight "S" wrench that has since been discontinued, but I've seen similar sets for less than half the price of the Snap-On tool.

I have seen a wrench with a red handle before, does anyone know who makes it, and where I can get it? It's an S wrench.

Thanks

I bought a combo 13mm/14mm at an garage auction for $.35. It's an "S" wrench made by SK Wayne, rather old but it fits perfect and was only 35 cents. Never thought I would use it when I bought it, but that was before I was really into diesels.

The snap on wrench is the way to go. It works perfectly and has a superior fit to the cheap jobber wrenches. No slipping off the nuts or rounding edges.
